Most people in KMUTT advice this restaurant to everyone. This restaurant is “KATI ICE”. “KATI ICE” is the back of KMUTT and near Ban Suanthon village. There are a lot of foods and beverages. For example Italian food, Thai food including dessert and
Ice-cream.
Italian food is the most popular food. The poplar’s menu is “Spaghetti Kai-Jeay”. It is only 35 baths. Proprietor tells us “The important components of this menu are fresh butter especially egg must be new and fresh including a good temperature for cooking”. And “Pizza home made” is the most poplar’s menu too. There are a lot of flavors for ex. Seafood, Tomyomkung, Kati Ice etc. The pizzas cost 80 – 99 baths/salver. It is very cheap.
About Thai food is very famous especially “Tom Yom”, Stir Fried Vegetable with Prawn, Khao kluk kapi (Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste), Kaao pat ga prao moo sap (Stir-fried pork with holy) etc.
“Stir Fried Vegetable with Prawn” always a good idea to have a dish of stir-fried vegetables. This one comes with fresh shrimp So many variations. To get the bright colours, a good tip is to dip into boiling water for one minute before stir frying. This dish is only 40 baths.
And next menu is “Khao kluk kapi”. I must admit it is not among my most popular dishes. In fact, you don't seem to see it around so much these days. The big difference between this dish and normal fried rice is that the rice is fried with shrimp paste which gives it a brown look. It is also seasoned with sugar and fish sauce. This dish costs 45 baths.
“Kaao pat ga prao moo sap” is one of the most famous Thai dishes around the world is this one, stir-fried pork fried with chili and holy basil. You don’t have to use minced pork, as variations include chicken or beef. In Thai it is called “Moo pat ga-prao”. The last part refers to the basil. It is quite simple to cook and the result is very delicious. Can you believe that the above was cooked a few days ago at my local food shop? It is one of those places with an open front with a minimum of decoration. There are thousands of these shops around Thailand. They are much cheaper than going to a restaurant. Believe it or not, this dish was only 25 baht.
About beverages there are different beverages from another restaurant. This place made new drinkkings every month. The most people like to drink “Red Devil”. It composes of raspberry, strawberry and blueberry. The price of cup is 35 baths. The reason of why the name of these beverages is Red Devil, I think it is from colour of fruits. “Monkey shock” is one of popular beverage’s menus. It composes of banana, chocolate and milk. It is very nice because while you are drinking “Monkey shock”, you get smell banana. This cup costs 30 baths.
By the way about dessert we recommend “Roty Kati-ice & waffle”. “Roty Kati-ice & waffle” is a famous dessert. It composes of banana and milk cream. It’s very delicious. In additions “Waffle” is one of popular dessert’s menus. It’s too big and very good taste. You can put ice-cream in it (the price add 5 baths). The both of desserts cost 25-30 baths.
Moreover “Tawheay Nomsod” is very nice for Thai dessert. This place made “Tawheay” (it made from jelly.) by themselves. The price is only 30 baths.
Now “Kati Ice” has a new promotion for New Year. If you pay more than 70 baths, you will get a star. And if you have completed 7 stars, you will get one beverages free. This weather there are a lot of menu about strawberry example strawberry milk shake, strawberry cake, strawberry frozen. Furthermore Proprietor tells us “you can require some food without menu. If you want to eat, we will try to cook for you”. Proprietor is very friendly and take care everyone very well. He love to cook and want everyone is happy to eat his food. The atmosphere inside Kati Ice is very good and very clean. Most of the songs that had been played were classic and pop. It made you relax. You can sit here as much as you want. So I’m not strange to why almost people like “Kati Ice”.

You will receive your food only 30 minute. It is very convenient. The direction of Kati Ice, if you go from KMUTT. You can go to Kati Ice by minibus number 70 and bus number 75. If you see Pitonas gas station. You will get off the bus in next station (in front of Ban Santhon village).and cross road .Then you turn left from Lotus express and go on foot 100 meters. You will see Kati Ice is near Pak Teak restaurant.
